Volumetric weight = L × W × H (cm) ÷ divisor — air freight divides by 6000, express couriers like DHL/FedEx by 5000. Chargeable weight = max(actual, volumetric). Freight is allocated pro rata by each row's chargeable weight × quantity, so lightweight-but-bulky items pull their fair share. Ocean FCL bills by container, not weight, so this divisor method doesn't apply there.
