But I was definitely expecting better quality for it being almost $50… The plastic is pretty flexible and able to bend and give away if you pull at it… my only complaint is really the quality not meeting my expectations for the price. And the top opening part is very stiff and just not very well-made. The door on the front doesn’t stay open easily. It kind of wants to shut by itself, which is annoying because I’m using this as a little shelter for my cat to hide in as he’s recovering from his surgery. You almost have to completely take the metal door off so he can get in and out without it, shutting by itself… Just a kind of odd design, not very well-made in my opinion definitely not like the cages back in the day that were very hard plastic that you could not pull on or bend. We are moving out of state and need a temporary carrier for our guinea pig that isn’t to small. Our guinea pig is an adult. This has large enough holes to hang a water bottle. It’s not the thickest plastic but overall good quality. Seals correctly and door works well. I like that you have the screws and the clips. But getting screws on and off are a bit of a pain because it’s hard to fit your fingers to make sure the screws are tight enough. If you have larger hands/fingers you may need a screw driver which is what I did. The only thing about that is this isn’t ideal for a vet clinic.
